Story: Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at Ouran High School. Story: Shurei Kou[Hong], a descendant of a noble family that has fallen on hard times, works in the temple school as a teacher and works odd jobs to make ends meet although her dream is to pass the imperial examinations and take a post in the government, a path forbidden to women. Her plans come to a halt when the Emperor’s Grand Advisor makes a startling offer for her to join the imperial household for six months as the young emperor’s consort and teach the Emperor to be a responsible ruler. When the Sohmas discover that Tohru is living alone in a tent, they are quite surprised by her inner strength. Certain events lead her to become a permanent guest in the house provided that Tohru cook meals and do household chores. Tohru finds out the secret of the Sohma Family upon the arrival of Sohma Kyo. But to her great surprise, they are not dead yet. It is revealed that they were supposed to be dead but the two made a deal with a secret loan office called Zombie-Loan. In return for keeping them alive, the two have to hunt zombies for the loan office. Michiru’s life becomes complicated as soon as she gets involved with them.

On the back of the directions is a picture Kira drew of a mother and child. On the first day of school they are both surprised to find that they are in the same class. Later Rei walks in on their teacher sexually harassing Kira. Rei promises to protect Kira in exchange for a painted version of the sketch that was on the back of the map. Kira asks him to model for her and he agrees.
